# JBL’s PartyBox 720 Brings 800W of Power, Boombox 4 Gets a Bass Boost

JBL just launched two new speakers that aim to redefine portable party sound: the powerful **PartyBox 720** and the upgraded **Boombox 4**.

## TLDR:

- **JBL PartyBox 720** is the company’s **largest battery-powered speaker ever**, delivering **800W** and **15 hours** of wireless playtime
- **Boombox 4** brings **improved bass** with **two new woofers**, **28 hours of battery life**, and a **lighter, more portable design**
- Both speakers feature **AI Sound Boost** for **louder audio with less distortion** and **Auracast** for **multi-speaker pairing**
- **Preorders are live now**, with the **PartyBox 720 shipping on September 21** and **Boombox 4 on September 28**

## What Happened?

JBL announced two new wireless speakers designed for serious sound lovers and party hosts alike. The **PartyBox 720**, now the **largest battery-powered speaker** JBL has ever made, and the more portable but still powerful **Boombox 4**, both come packed with new features and upgrades over previous models.

## PartyBox 720 is Built for Big Sound and Bigger Parties

JBL’s new **PartyBox 720** is a beast in both size and sound. It measures **37 inches tall** and weighs a hefty **68 pounds**. Despite its size, it remains **portable** thanks to **built-in wheels** and a **sturdy handle**.

It delivers a massive **800W of power** and offers up to **15 hours of battery-powered playtime**. Inside, you’ll find **two 9-inch woofers** and **30mm dome tweeters** for a powerful and immersive audio experience. The speaker also features **[AI](https://techkv.com/artificial-intelligence-statistics/) Sound Boost**, a technology designed to **increase volume without distortion**.

Other highlights include:

- **Auracast support** for syncing with other JBL speakers
- A built-in **futuristic light show** that syncs to your music
- **Two XLR ports** to connect microphones, guitars, or DJ gear
- **IPX4 water resistance** to survive light splashes and spills

JBL is clearly targeting the **party crowd** with this model. Priced at **$1,099**, it’s more affordable than some premium competitors like Marshall’s $1,300 speaker. **Preorders are open now**, with shipments starting on **September 21**.

## Boombox 4 Delivers Serious Bass in a Portable Package

The **JBL Boombox 4** is a more compact alternative but still packs plenty of power. Weighing **13 pounds**, it’s **two pounds lighter** than its predecessor, the Boombox 3, making it **easier to carry around**.

It now includes **two woofers** and offers **two bass modes**:

- **Deep Bass** for rich, booming lows
- **Punchy Bass** for upbeat, lively sound

Other key features:

- Up to **28 hours of battery life**
- **Replaceable battery** design for long-term usability
- **IP68 water and dust resistance**
- **AI Sound Boost** and **Auracast connectivity** for multi-speaker setups

The Boombox 4 is priced at **$550** and comes in **three color options**. It ships on **September 28**, just a week after the PartyBox 720.

## What TechKV Thinks?

I love when brands build products that actually solve a need instead of adding fluff. The **PartyBox 720** is for people who take partying seriously. It’s big, it’s bold, and it has all the bells and whistles to make any event unforgettable. Whether it’s karaoke, a backyard bash, or a wedding afterparty, this thing will deliver.

The **Boombox 4**, on the other hand, is perfect for everyday use. Whether you’re chilling at the beach or throwing a rooftop hangout, it offers the **right mix of sound quality and portability**. Plus, those **bass modes** are a very cool touch.

If you’ve been waiting for a speaker that can **go loud, last long, and stay wireless**, JBL’s new lineup deserves a spot on your radar.
