    TLDR:

    • Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked will stream live on September 4, 2025 at 5:30 AM ET (3:00 PM IST)
    • Expected reveals include the Galaxy Tab S11 series and Galaxy S25 FE
    • The virtual-only event leads into IFA Berlin 2025, where Samsung will showcase new devices
    • Customers can get up to $950 in trade-in savings and early reservation perks

    What Happened?

Samsung announced a virtual Galaxy Unpacked event to take place on September 4, right before the start of the IFA 2025 tech fair in Berlin and only five days ahead of Apple’s iPhone 17 event. The livestream will begin at 5:30 AM ET and will be broadcast on Samsung’s official YouTube channel and website.

The company is expected to focus on new Galaxy Tab models, with strong hints pointing toward the Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy S25 FE, an affordable version of the flagship Galaxy S25.

Samsung Aims to Make Waves Before Apple’s iPhone Reveal

Samsung’s choice to go live with Unpacked on September 4 looks like a strategic move. It’s just ahead of Apple’s iPhone 17 launch, which is set for September 9. This timing places Samsung in the spotlight first and gives them a chance to pull in customer attention and early pre-orders before Apple dominates the headlines.

The event is expected to build momentum going into IFA Berlin 2025, one of Europe’s biggest tech shows. While the event will be virtual only, Samsung also plans to have exhibition booths and a press conference at IFA.

What to Expect: Tablets, Phones, and Maybe a Surprise

Samsung has already opened reservations for an unnamed Galaxy Tab, which is widely believed to be the Galaxy Tab S11 series. According to leaks, here’s what users can expect from the two models:

    • Galaxy Tab S11: AMOLED screen, 12GB RAM, MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset
    • Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra: Larger AMOLED screen, up to 16GB RAM, same MediaTek processor, and an 11,600mAh battery

This marks a shift from Samsung’s usual reliance on Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, and could indicate a broader change in their tablet strategy.

Samsung also looks ready to launch the Galaxy S25 FE, based on multiple credible leaks. The new FE model may feature:

    • 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate
    • Exynos 2400 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage
    • Android 16 with One UI 8
    • 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired and 25W wireless charging
    • A triple-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor
    • Upgraded 12MP front camera, up from 10MP in the S24 FE

Perks for Early Birds and Trade-in Deals

Samsung is also enticing fans with a series of pre-launch offers:

    • Customers who reserve a Galaxy Tab via Samsung.com or the Shop Samsung app will receive a $50 credit, which can be used on other Galaxy products
    • Up to $950 in savings are available through trade-in offers, free storage upgrades, and bundle deals

However, the reservation credit cannot be applied to the device being reserved. These perks are a clever nudge to keep consumers within the Galaxy ecosystem ahead of the busy fall season.

    What TechKV Thinks?

I think Samsung is playing this very smart. By going live on September 4, they get the first-mover advantage over Apple, and it shows they’re not afraid to go head-to-head with Cupertino. The expected Tab S11 lineup looks powerful and premium, especially with that massive battery and RAM in the Ultra version. The use of MediaTek chips instead of Snapdragon is a surprise, and I’ll be watching closely to see how that performs.

I’m also glad to see the Galaxy S25 FE getting some love. These FE models offer a great balance of power and price, and the rumored upgrades over the S24 FE are exactly what fans have been asking for. If Samsung also sneaks in a peek at that tri-fold foldable or its Project Moohan headset, that would really make this Unpacked one to remember.
