Apple’s M3 iPad Air Hits Lowest Ever Price with $150 Discount

Apple’s latest iPad Air with the M3 chip has dropped to its lowest-ever price, with discounts of up to $150 across multiple major retailers.

TLDR:

• All M3 iPad Air models are now available at $150 off, matching their all-time lowest prices
• The 11-inch Wi-Fi model is now just $449, down from its original $599
• Available across Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target, including just in time for back-to-school season
• The M3 iPad Air is being widely recommended as the best iPad for most users due to performance and value

What Happened?

The M3 iPad Air, released earlier this year, has just returned to its lowest-ever price point. Retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target are offering the 11-inch base model at $449, a steep $150 discount from the usual $599. These deals come right in time for the back-to-school rush, making it a great option for students and professionals alike.

Apple enthusiasts will recognize this as a rare deal. While deeper discounts occasionally hit the cellular models, the base Wi-Fi variants typically max out at $150 off during promotions, with this drop matching previous all-time lows.

Where to Find the Best Deals?

Here’s a breakdown of the current discounted prices:

11-inch M3 iPad Air

• 128GB: $449 (Reg. $599)
• 256GB: $549 (Reg. $699)
• 512GB: $749 (Reg. $899)
• 1TB: $949 (Reg. $1,099)

13-inch M3 iPad Air

• 128GB: $649 (Reg. $799)
• 256GB: $749 (Reg. $899)
• 512GB: $949 (Reg. $1,099)
• 1TB: $1,149 (Reg. $1,299)

These prices are valid across multiple colorways, though availability can vary by store and model. Notably, the starlight variant might be harder to find at Walmart right now.

Why This iPad Stands Out?

The M3 chip is the latest step up in Apple’s silicon strategy, bringing significant performance improvements over the M2. It’s not just faster but it’s optimized for Apple Intelligence features, graphic-heavy games, and creative workflows. For most users, the M3 iPad Air strikes the perfect balance between price and power.

Highlights include:

• Liquid Retina display in two sizes
• Touch ID, Wi-Fi 6E, and USB-C connectivity
• Up to 1TB of storage
• Around 14 hours of battery life
• A landscape webcam for improved video calls
• Portability at just over one pound

Reviewers have praised the device, with some calling it “the best iPad for most people”, especially if you’re not in need of the high-end display tech and horsepower of the iPad Pro.

What TechKV Thinks?

Honestly, I think this is one of the best tablet deals of the year. Apple rarely drops prices on new iPads this aggressively, and the M3 chip inside makes it a future-ready device. Whether you’re a student, a note-taker, or someone who wants to watch shows and get some light work done, this iPad delivers.

It’s also a sneaky-good alternative to a budget laptop, especially with the expected windowed multitasking features in iPadOS 26. If you’ve been holding out for the right time, this is it. Grab one before this deal disappears.
